The Nuna AACE is the booster seat that covers the full span from the transition out of a harnessed car seat through the point where a child fits the vehicle belt without any booster at all. The 2-in-1 design starts as a high-back booster for children 40 to 110 lbs at least 4 years old, then converts to a no-back booster for children 50 to 120 lbs at least 5 years old by removing the seat back. One seat handles the entire booster stage without a second purchase.
The 3D Growth System is what makes the AACE genuinely adaptable rather than just adjustable in one direction. Grow Up is the one-hand 9-position headrest that raises the seat height as the child gets taller. Grow Out is the shoulder system that expands automatically as the headrest moves up, keeping the side wings aligned with the child's shoulders without a separate adjustment. Grow On is the three-position seat depth that extends the seating surface to support growing legs. These three systems work together so the seat fits correctly throughout a weight range that typically spans five or more years of use.
The integrated SIP pods deploy from either side of the seat back and provide energy-absorbing side impact protection at head and torso level. The lower anchor connectors serve two functions: they secure the booster to the vehicle seat during use and transport, and they enable the 8-position recline adjustment in high-back mode by allowing the seat bottom to tilt. The colored belt path indicators and integrated belt positioner reduce the most common installation errors by visually guiding correct shoulder belt routing every time.
The AACE is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and built without added flame-retardant chemicals. The knit fabric cover is breathable, machine washable, and removable without tools.
