Can you use a seat pad to protect vehicle seats while using the …(Mesa v2, Mesa Max, Aria, Knox, Alta v2)?
No, UPPAbaby does not allow vehicle seat protectors with their car seats because they haven't been tested or approved for use. The car seat base has a finished bottom to prevent vehicle seat damage.
Do you have to use the tether in rear-facing and/or forward-facing mode?
While not required by law, the Multi-Directional Tether is strongly recommended for use in both rear and forward-facing mode for optimal protection. It significantly reduces injury scores by as much as 45%.

How do you properly fit a child in the Knox?
In both rear-facing and forward-facing mode, the headrest should be positioned at the child’s shoulders to ensure proper fit of the harness. The headrest can lightly touch the shoulders and allow 1 in of space between the child’s shoulders and headrest.
The fit inlay must be used with children from 14 - 25 lbs in order to achieve a proper harness fit.
How does Koroyd® work?
Koroyd’s welded tubes crumple instantly and consistently on impact, absorbing maximum force in a controlled manner, minimizing energy transferred to the child. This unique behavior helps to protect your child from impact forces which may reduce the risk of suffering a life-changing injury.
What does the fit inlay do?
The Knox fit inlay provides an excellent fit for smaller children and must be used from 14 to approximately 25 pounds. It ensures proper positioning of the child relative to the harness and crotch buckle.
Where do you attach the tether to?
Check your vehicle owner’s manual for vehicle top tether anchor locations. They are often found in sedans behind the backseat headrest or in other vehicles behind the seat back.

The seat is suitable for children from 1 to 6 years old. It can be used rear-facing for children weighing 14–45 lbs (with the fit inlay for 14–25 lbs) and forward-facing for children weighing 25–65 lbs.
